Is the MATBOJE beanie suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. The beanie is made from 100% merino wool, which is naturally soft and less likely to irritate sensitive skin than synthetic fibres, and it is OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certified for textile safety.
Can I machine wash the beanie?
Hand washing is recommended, though you can use a wool wash programme if your machine has one. Do not tumble dry; lay the beanie flat to dry instead.
What does RWS certification mean for this product?
We are RWS certified, Control Union 1018560. Only the products which carry the RWS label and claim are certified. The Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) describes and independently certifies animal welfare and land management practices in wool production and tracks the certified material from farm to final product.
Will the beanie keep its shape after washing?
Yes. The ribbed knit construction allows the beanie to stretch and return to its original shape when washed and dried correctly, following the hand wash or wool programme instructions.
