MATBRIDDI softshell jacket combines a shaped silhouette with three-layer softshell construction, designed to keep children comfortable through changeable spring and autumn days. The detachable hood fastens with snap buttons, whilst gathered detail at the waist creates a tailored shape without restricting movement. A 12,000 mm (WP) water-repellent outer, windproof membrane and soft fleece backing work together to manage light rain and wind, though the untaped seams mean the jacket is highly water-repellent rather than waterproof.

The three-layer softshell construction places a recycled-polyester outer, a polyurethane membrane and a fleece backing into a single fabric. The membrane is what makes the jacket windproof, blocking cold air from passing through, whilst the 12,000 mm (WP) rating and fluorine-free Bionic Finish Eco treatment bead light rain away from the surface. The untaped seams set a clear classification: water can still enter through the stitching in sustained rain, so the jacket suits showers and damp conditions rather than prolonged downpours.

An 8,000 g/m²/24h breathability rating helps heat and moisture escape during active playground sessions, reducing the clammy feeling that can follow energetic play in less breathable outerwear. The soft fleece backing keeps the inside comfortable against the skin, whilst the shaped sleeves and gathered waist detail allow the jacket to move with the child without adding bulk.

The detachable hood removes fully when milder conditions make head coverage unnecessary, and a 70 lux reflective star in the pocket keeps the child visible to drivers from up to 300 metres in low light. MATBRIDDI has a regular fit and is intended as a transitional outer layer over everyday clothing. Wash inside out at up to 40°C and tumble dry only on low heat.
