MATWAI softshell jacket offers a three-layer construction that combines wind protection with water resistance for nursery drop-offs, playground sessions and changeable spring or autumn days. The untaped seams set a clear classification: the jacket is highly water-repellent rather than waterproof, which matters when choosing it for light rain rather than prolonged downpours.

Wind protection and a comfortable inner surface come from a three-layer softshell construction: a recycled polyester outer, a polyurethane membrane and a soft fleece backing, without extra padding. A 12,000 mm (WP) water column and 8,000 g/m²/24h breathability balance protection from light rain with the release of heat and moisture during active play.

The pointed hood's press-stud fastening allows it to come off quickly on milder days without needing to unclip a full snap system, and the offset front zip keeps the closure away from the chin when fully done up. Elasticated cuffs and hem help seal out draughts, while the chest pocket adds storage without disrupting the clean outer line.
