MINI A TURE BECAME B CORP™ CERTIFIED IN 2021

- As one of the first Children's Brands in the World.

WHAT IS A B CORP™ CERTIFICATION?

A B Corp™ certification is a 360-degree company certification, where the company is evaluated on more than 300 different parameters and must achieve a minimum of 80 out of 200 points to be certified. The evaluation is carried out by B Lab, which is a self-owned non-profit organization. The evaluation process takes one and a half years on average and deals with everything from collaboration with suppliers and consumption of electricity, to how many jobs you as a company create.

Thus, B Corp™ certified companies can document, that they live up to high standards socially, environmentally and in terms of transparency across the entire value chain. The certification process is carried out every third year.

For B Corp™ certified companies it is not just about maximizing profits. It is about using business as a force for good - creating a more inclusive and circular economy.

Today, there are +5.000 B Corp™ certified companies globally across industries.

Certification Notice
“Certified B Corporation” is a trademark licensed by B Lab, a private non-profit organization, to companies like ours that have successfully completed the B Impact Assessment (“BIA”) and therefore meet the requirements set by B Lab for social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. It is specified that B Lab is not a conformity assessment body as defined by Regulation (EU) No 765/2008, nor is it a national, European, or international standardization body as per Regulation (EU) No 1025/2012. The criteria of the BIA are distinct and independent from the harmonized standards resulting from ISO norms or other standardization bodies, and they are not ratified by national or European public institutions.

WHY ARE WE B CORP™ CERTIFIED?

It is important for us to document that we live up to high standards for production of children’s clothing. At MINI A TURE we feel strongly responsible for future generations – our children. Therefore, as a clothing manufacturer it is our responsibility to take care of the planet in the best possible way, and we do everything we can to work with nature and not against it.

DESIGNING TO ENSURE LONGEVITY

Our clothes are known to have a very high abrasion resistance. When we design our products, it is important for us to ensure longevity to minimize resource consumption and CO2 emissions. We only use high-quality materials and the latest production technologies.

In addition, several of our designs are repeated year after year. Thereby we save resources by not having to start from scratch in the design process but refining and developing on what already exists.

WE CALL FOR REPAIR

Although our clothes have a very high abrasion resistance, it happens a product need to be fixed over time. Instead of disposing the clothes, we encourage getting them repaired rather than throwing them away. Contact our customer service, if you have any questions about repairs.

SUPPORTING CIRCULAR INITIATIVES

At MINI A TURE, we believe that recycling is gold, and we support circular initiatives. We donate excesss stock items and clothing samples to the Indian orphanage, Sunway Children's Home, and we support several take-back programs on external platforms.

SUPPORTING ANIMAL WELFARE

Some of our outerwear has removable fur on the hood. We use FURMARK® certified fur, which is derived from Finnish raccoon dogs, which is an invasive species. In this way, we help to regulate the population of their species so that they can continue to live in harmony with other animal species in the area.

Our knit styles in wool are produced from mulesing free Italian merino wool. This means that the wool, obtained from sheep, is regularly trimmed, thereby eliminating the need for painful mulesing interventions.

CERTIFIED ORGANIC & RECYCLED MATERIALS

Our clothes are produced from certified organic and recycled materials, including recycled nylon and polyester from pre- and post consumer waste and plastic bottles.

We use recycled and eco-friendly materials in our packaging: This applies both to the packaging in which the supplier wraps each piece of clothing when it leaves the factory, and when we deliver products to you.

NO KNOWN HARMFUL CHEMICALS & ENDOCRINE DISRUPTORS

All MINI A TURE styles are free of identified harmful chemicals and endocrine disruptors. This applies to the entire manufacturing process from eg. dyeing of materials to finishing and impregnation of outerwear.

CERTIFIED SUPPLIERS & FACTORIES

We have some very strict requirements for our suppliers in relation to salaries and working conditions, so that through the collaboration we can help to ensure good jobs.

At the same time, we want to ensure that our clothes are produced in the most environmentally friendly way using the most innovative material solutions and production technologies.

REDUCING OVERPRODUCTION & CO2 EMISSIONS

It is important for us to reduce clothing waste as much as possible. Therefore, we only produce the exact styles that our customers order and what we know you demand.

Our clothes are produced in Europe and Asia, but regardless of the distance, we always seek to transport by train, ferry, and car. By avoiding air transport, we will probably get a longer delivery time. But we contribute to reduced fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
